During Unit 2 we defined “empire” and discussed how Rome fit the definition of empire. Also using artifacts and written works, we practiced categorizing these pieces of information into Elements of Empire and used them as evidence of empire. For this unit’s assessment, you will research a new empire and determine its legacy. You will be assigned to research one of the following ancient empires: Han China, Persia, Maurya, Macedonia, or Kush.
Prompt: Determine the most important legacy of an assigned empire.
