The Renaissance was a time of tremendous change and growth in European society and the arts. You now have the opportunity to explore a single Renaissance artist to demonstrate your understanding of this period. In class we discussed the main ideals of Humanism, Secularism, and Individualism, though others could be considered.
In a 4 paragraph paper (approx. 2-4 pages), address the following prompt: Prove how the artwork of your artist reflect two of the Renaissance ideals that we focused on in class?
Required Components:
Intro paragraph with Thesis Statement
Two body paragraphs that each include:
One (1) artwork from your assigned artist
One (1) connection to Renaissance ideal
Conclusion paragraph
Five (5) sources total
One (1) primary source quotation
Appendix for each artwork
